Marion Weathermon, 87, of Waterloo, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Saturday, October 25, 2008.

Marion Adelia was born April 26, 1921, in Omaha, Nebraska, daughter of Frank and Hattie Fisher Lindeman.

Marion married John Richard “Dick” Weathermon on January 3, 1943 in Waterloo. He died September 14, 2006.

She graduated from UNI in 1941 with a BA Degree in English and Social Studies.

Marion taught in Finchford, Dysart, and Orange Township Schools from 1941 to 1947. In 1957, she went to work for the Waterloo Community Schools as a secretary, retiring in 1988.

Marion is survived by son Rick and his wife Bonnie of Plymouth, Minnesota, grandson Eric and his wife Melony of Shakopee, Minnesota, two great grandsons, Carter and Colin, and great granddaughter Keira Kay. She is also survived by her brother George Lindeman and his wife Regina of Waterloo, and two sisters, Luella Sherren and her husband Arthur of St. Germain, Wisconsin and Jean Boehnke and her husband Roger of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Marion is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Adellah (Roland) Howard.
