Larry Lee Potts, 90, of Buckingham passed away peacefully on 2/14/2026 at Allen Memorial Hospital. Larry was born on 12/6/1935 in Huron, South Dakota to Lenora and Marion Hollister and was later adopted by Roy Potts. Larry married Eunice Blake on May 14, 1955 in McIntire, Iowa.

Larry and Eunice were amongst the first residents of the Hickory Hollow community (Buckingham), where they lived for the last 52 years. They made many close friends in the neighborhood and will be surely missed.

Larry worked as a Journeyman Plasterer during his early years but spent the majority of his career as the General Manager of United Concrete until his retirement in 2005. Larry was an exceptionally talented and detail oriented craftsman with many skills. A few of his accomplishments included building several homes including designing, engineering and building a custom earth sheltered home in Hickory Hollow. Many people came from far and wide to inspect the home and learn from his design. In addition, he fully restored an award winning 1929 Ford Model A and a 1964 Vespa scooter. He also built and flew radio controlled airplanes for many years.

He is survived by two sons, Terry (Heather) of Woodbury, Minnesota, and Randy (Pam) of Forest City, Iowa; four grandsons, Andrew, Landon, Maclean and Gavin; 3 great-grandchildren, Nelle, Colette, and Luke.

Larry is preceded in death by his wife Eunice in July of 2025, his parents, Lenore and Roy Potts, son Tracy and sister, Sharon Pint.
