Jeffrey M. “Jeff” Horslund, 61, passed away on Monday November 9, 2015 in Oro Valley, Arizona, from complications of lung cancer. He was born in Waterloo, the son of Robert and Millie Horslund, and raised in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Jeff graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1972, Moorhead State University with a BA, Iowa State University with his Masters Degree and continued his Post Masters at the University of Texas, Arlington, Texas.

He had a successful career as an engineer with TI/Raytheon in the defense industry with a focus on GPS and missile systems where he won many awards and holds several patents. Jeff was an excellent golfer and billiards player. He followed wrestling and football enthusiastically.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Barrie; daughters, Austin and Heidi; father, Robert Horslund of Waterloo; his twin brother, Joe of Waterloo; sisters, Christine Sparrgrove and husband Bill of Fort Myers, Florida and Cindy Michael and husband Danny of Waterloo; stepbrother, Scott Roberts and wife Tammy of Grand Prairie, Texas; and many other relatives. He was preceded in death by his mother, Millie, and his dad’s wife, Marla.
