Robert Bishop, 84, of Waterloo, Iowa, died on Sunday, December 20, 2015, of natural causes.

He was born January 16, 1931 in Cape May, New Jersey, the son of Alla “Parmer” and Laura Wise Bishop.

Robert married the love of his life, Roberta Joyce Peters, on October 18, 1958 at Central Methodist Church in Iowa Falls. She died on July 3, 2013.

Robert was an Inspector at John Deere for many years before his retirement in 1987.

He was always busy. He enjoyed painting, square dancing, playing the piano and traveling. Robert was always learning something new. He lived life to the fullest.

He is survived by his son, Blaine (Tammy Fox‑Barth) of Waterloo; 3 grandchildren: Trever Bishop and Jessica and Sarah Barth; and 3 brothers: Clarence and his wife Alice of Stout, and Donnie and his wife Joanie and Henry and his wife Sandy, both of Youngstown, Florida; and his dog Lita.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Parmer and Laura; wife, Roberta; son, Branden, in infancy; 3 brothers: Herschel, William “Bill,” and Charles; and sister, Maize.
