Judith Ann Kibe, 65, of Friendship Village, died on March 23, 2013 at Cedar Valley Hospice Home.

She was born in Waterloo, Iowa on February 17, 1948, the daughter of Glenn and Rachael Mills.

She graduated in 1966 from West High School with the goal of being a Registered Nurse. Instead she married Arthur “Ron” Kibe and they were divorced in 1993.

Judy attended Hawkeye Community College and became an RN in 1996. She worked many years at Horizons, a unit for chemical dependency, and found this career very rewarding.

She had recently moved into Friendship Village, but health issues kept her from participating in most activities. Judy was a member of Grace Brethren Church for 52 years, and taught the Ladies’ Bible Study for 38 years, plus being a part of many activities when job and health issues allowed.

Judy is survived by three children: Shelley (Jamie) of St Louis, Missouri; Shawn (Mindy) of Gladbrook, Iowa; Scott (Jennifer) of Richmond, Virginia; nine grandchildren: Kody, Chris, Blake, Shandra, Christian, Abbie, Drew, Grace, Matthew; niece Erica; and nephews Nicholas, Spencer and Peter. She is also survived by two brothers: Jack (Barb) of Gurnee, Illinois, and James (Dorothy) of Walnut Creek, California.

She is preceded in death by a sister Carol Lea Mills, her parents, and her ex-husband.
