Margaret Irene Williams, 88, of Hudson, died at NewAldaya Lifescapes, Saturday, April 27, 2013.

Margaret was born August 10, 1924, in Poweshiek County, daughter of William and Marie Petersen Miller. She graduated from Melbourne High School 1941.

She married Harold Edward Williams on June 12, 1945 in Melbourne. He died November 13, 1992.

Margaret was a housekeeper and companion to LeRoy and Jeanette Brasch for thirty eight years, continuing when they moved to Friendship Village, after LeRoy’s death in 2008 and until Jeanette’s death in 2011. She had been a member of many groups and organizations, United Methodist Church of Hudson, Hudson Amvet Auxiliary, the Red Hat Ladies, Birthday Group, Card Club, and Sunshine Club. She crocheted, read romance novels, grew and canned vegetables, and was loved for her home baked buns.

Margaret is survived by her daughter Elma (Daryl) Ingamells of Hudson; son Harold Williams of Urbandale; daughter Becky (Robert) DeJaegher of East Moline, IL; son Wilbur (Janet) Williams of Hudson; nine grandchildren: Michael (Sara) Ingamells, Diane (Mark) Kocovsky, Tanya (Alan) Ruden, Heather (David) Proehl, Angie (John) Rieck, Amy Seyffer, Christopher Williams, Jessica (Christopher) Snitker, and Whitney Williams; two step grandchildren: Amber Roberson and Lewis DeJaegher; ten great grandchildren: Marah, Meghan, and Ryan Kocovsky; Blake and Madison Ingamells; Crystal, Sierra, and Tony Ruden; Elsie and Henry Rieck; four step great grandchildren; sister Wilma Smith of Gilman, IA; and sister Helen (Robert) Renaud of Grinnell, IA.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Mathew Ingamells, sisters: Ruth Charlier, Letha Scott and Dorothy Lanning.
