Diane M. Slattenow, 67, of Waterloo, Iowa, died at Cedar Valley Hospice Home on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 from complications of cancer.

Diane Marie Clark was born June 24, 1946 in Waterloo, daughter of Marvin and Ruth Avery Clark.

She married Neal Slattenow on April 12, 1963 at First United Methodist Church in Marshalltown.

Diane graduated from East High School in 1964. She was a stockbroker assistant at U.S. Bancorp, retiring in 2005. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Diane is survived by her husband Neal of Waterloo; son Brad (Kristy) Slattenow of Waterloo; daughter Brenda Simo of Lynn Haven, Florida; three grandchildren: Josh (Nicole), Nathan and Morgan; two step grandchildren: Troy and Jaden; great granddaughter Olivia; and brother George (Carol) Clark of Evansdale.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers: Don Palmer, Kenny Palmer, John Clark and Chuck Clark.
