Anna M. Malfeld, 83, of Waterloo, died Friday, May 16, at Covenant Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 5, 1931, in Boyd, Okla., daughter of George and Elizabeth Kroker Pope. She married Lawrence Malfeld on Feb. 4, 1951, in Denver, Colo.; he preceded her in death.

Anna worked as a secretary for a grain company for many years.

Survived by: a granddaughter, Melissa (Ricky) Beck of Waterloo; and three great-grandchildren, Clayton, Kaitlyn and Raegan Beck, all of Waterloo.

Preceded in death by: her parents; a daughter, Leita Thoms; and a granddaughter, Virginia Thoms.
