Louise E. Polk, 91, of Cedar Falls, died at Bickford Assisted Living, on Monday, September 15, 2014.

She was born on December 21, 1922 in Waterloo, the daughter of Charles and Clara Atkins Owen. She graduated from East High in 1941.

Louise married Arthur F. Polk on May 5, 1946 in Waterloo. He died July 28, 1998. She worked for John Deere until marriage, and then for many years as an inspector at Chamberlain Manufacturing until retirement. Louise was a member of First Presbyterian Church.

Survived by: her son, Mark (Lyn) Polk of Belton, MO; daughters, Kathy (Don) Pritchett of Evansdale, and Terry (Steve) Lottich of Coralville; 8 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Melvin and Bob Owen and 1 sister, Virginia McKenna.

Louise was hard working and adventurous. She raised her own organic food on 7 acres. She was very social and loved to be around others. Louise and her husband Arthur enjoyed fishing in Lake Of The Woods in Canada. She had a deep love for God and Angels.
