Ronald Ned “Ron” Bader, age 63, of La Porte City, died Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home in Waterloo of colon cancer.

He was born September 12, 1950 in Waterloo, the son of Ned and Dolores (Olson) Bader. Ron graduated from La Porte City High School with the Class of 1968 and attended Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls and the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls. He was united in marriage with Barbara J. Campbell on November 7, 1987 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Ron worked for Control-O-Fax, Versatile Farm Equipment and Case IH prior to farming. He was a member of the American Lutheran Church and the La Porte City Lions Club.

Ron is survived by his wife, Barb, a son, Bo Bader and a daughter, Breann Bader, all of La Porte City; his mother, Dolores Bader of La Porte City and a brother, David (Janan) Bader of Las Vegas, NV.
