Myrtle L. Marovets, 90, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Tuesday, November 29, 2016.

She was born August 1, 1926 in Frederika, Iowa, the daughter of Oscar and Hulda (Lipp) Fankhauser.

She married Leo F. Marovets on May 19, 1945, in Waterloo, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 10, 1988.

Myrtle worked as a homemaker and was a member of the F.O.E. Waterloo #764.

She is survived by three sons: Jim (Dianne) of Waterloo, Gary (Trudy) of Raymond, and Robert of Mason City; by three daughters: Bonnie Adams of Waterloo, Nancy Wyant of Kellerton, and Dorothy Thomas of Cedar Falls; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Peggy Ann Marovets; three brothers: Clifford, Henry, and Wilbert Fankhauser; and by one sister, Hazel Pitz.
