Dorothy J. Harris, 84, of Washburn, formerly of Genoa, Wisconsin, died Friday, August 19, 2016 at her home of natural causes.

Dorothy was born June 9, 1932 in Tripoli, Iowa, the daughter of Ernst and Emma Kuhrt Drewis.

She married Lee F. Harris June 11, 1950. He died October 9, 2013.

Dorothy worked at Schoitz and Covenant Hospital for 25 years retiring in 1988 as Linen Laundry supervisor.

Survivors include a son Rick (Carol) Harris of Waterloo; daughter Vicky (Mike) Markey of Waterloo; daughter Brenda (Tony) Jochumsen of Hudson; daughter Sue Harris of Washburn; and son Scott Harris of Washburn. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, several great‑grandchildren, and 4 great‑great grandchildren; and a sister Delores Marlow of Des Moines.

Dorothy is preceded in death by sisters: Norma Schroeder, Lois Hunt, Ruth Drewis, Geneva Kerr, Blanche Sievers, Jeanette Harris; and brothers: Roland, Randy, Ralph, Erwin and Fredrick Drewis.
