Judith Kay Kikendall

Judi K. Kikendall, 72, of Waterloo, died at Rosewood Estate of Friendship Village Monday, January 14, 2019.

She was born January 28, 1946 in Waterloo, daughter of Arthur and Myrna (Stevens) Reese and graduated from Waterloo West High School with the class of 1964. She received her Associates degree from Gates Business College.

Judi married Jerry Kikendall on May 18, 1973 at Zion Lutheran Church, Waterloo.

She was a secretary at Rath Packing until it closed. She then worked at John Deere until the layoffs in the 1980’s. Later, she was a secretary at UNI and retired in 2006. Judi was a member of Kimball Ave. United Methodist Church. She was active as a Girl Scout Leader and Cub Scout Leader. Judi loved her family. She loved to travel to all fifty states, Mexico, Canada and Japan. She used to say her perfect vacation was “ Palm trees, coconuts, and an ocean beach.”

She is survived by her husband, Jerry of Waterloo; son, Kacy (Erin Tarr) Kikendall of Grass Valley, CA; daughter, Kari (Dusty) Olson of Waterloo; 5 grandchildren: Thomas, Savannah, Kaden, Lyla, and Cully; 3 brothers: Mike Reese of West Plains, MO, Steve (Sara) Reese of Rogers, AK; and Paul Reese of Waterloo; a brother‑in‑law, Jim (Kathy) Kikendall of Iowa City.

She is preceded by her parents.
