Maurice Moore entered this life on Christmas Day, 1927, in Kansas City, KS, and departed Sunday, August 25, 2019, at the Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls, IA.

Maurice graduated from Orange High School in 1946, and attended McPherson College, McPherson, KS. There he met Doris Correll, and they were married August 6, 1950, in Buckeye, KS. Doris passed away November 11, 2016.

Maurice was a true farmer who loved the land. He raised grain crops, had cattle, then later finished hogs.

Maurice was well known in family circles for his homemade ice cream. Maurice was proud of his family and farms. He enjoyed traveling, and collecting miniature tractors and implements.

Maurice had a sense of duty and responsibility. He improved his farms and home, but his legacy is his children.

He is survived by: daughter, Barbara (Kenneth) Drewes, Des Moines, IA; son, Rodney (Glenda) Moore, Lincoln, NE; son, David (Rhonda) Moore, McPherson, KS; son, Donald (Marilyn) Moore, Waterloo, IA; daughter, Kathryn (Gregory) Miller Leach, Machesney Park, IL; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph S. and Della (Jones) Moore; wife, Doris, and son in law, Craig Miller.
