Lisa R. Smith, age 56, of Jesup, formerly of Waterloo, died Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Buchanan County Health Center in Independence.

She was born September 10, 1963 in Waterloo, the daughter of Duane E. and JoAnn Joyce (Ihnen) Smith. Lisa graduated from Waterloo West High School with the Class of 1981. She was united in marriage with Jeff L. Smith on July 30, 1983 in Waterloo.

Lisa had formerly worked at the National Bank of Waterloo and GMAC. She enjoyed reading, sewing and embroidery.

Lisa is survived by her husband, Jeff L. Smith of Jesup; two sons, Zachary F. Smith of Waterloo and Alex J. (Liz) Smith of Fairbank; three grandchildren, Gracie, Weston, and Raylan; a sister, Angela (Scott) DeWolf of Waterloo; and two brothers, Jeffrey (Carlene) Smith of Colorado and Bradley Smith of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
