Mary Ann King, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 21, 2026, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo, surrounded by her sons and their wives.

A celebration of life for Mary will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at the Cedar Falls AMVETS.

Mary was born on November 11, 1960, in Waterloo, the daughter of Earl and Beverly (Jochumsen) Davis. She graduated from Hudson High School with the class of 1980. She was married to Hal King, and together they had two sons, Blake and Bryce. They later divorced.

Mary previously worked at Hudson Community Schools in the cafeteria and as a crossing guard, Crystal Distribution, and Gearhead Enterprises.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sons and grandchildren. She also loved spending time at the river and making memories with the people she loved. She was a collector of photographs, capturing the special moments and memories to share the stories with others.

Mary is survived by her two sons, Blake (Amanda) King and Bryce (Brittany) King, both of Hudson; two grandchildren, Brayden and Avery King; two grand dogs, Dallas and Benelli; siblings, Sue Davis of North Buena Vista, Jim (Sue) Davis of North Buena Vista, Peggy (Tanny) King of Garrison, and sister-in-law Missy Davis; an aunt, Brenda Jochumsen of Hudson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Beverly Davis; brother Mike Davis; brother-in-law Clay Trager; niece Paige Davis, and Uncle Tony Jochumsen.
