Steven Clark Johnston

Steven Johnston, 63, of La Porte City, died Friday, August 28, 2020 at his home.

He was born November 22, 1956 in California, son of Richard L. and Mayzie Lubbert Johnston. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Vietnam. He married Melva Jean Owen November 15, 1985 in Waterloo. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Steven is survived by his wife, Melva Johnston of La Porte City; son, Brandon Calurt of Waterloo; daughter, Nicole White of Waterloo; two step-daughters, Kim and Jennifer Kulish, both of Waterloo; step-son, Richard (Sherry) Feldman; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his mother Mayzie (Ervin) Seehase of Waterloo; two brothers, Rick (Kim) Johnston of Alden, and Douglas Johnston of Waterloo; and four sisters, Brenda (Kirk) Miller of Dallas‚ OR, Deborah Johnston of Waterloo‚ Pamela (Jerry) Beier and Susan (Marty) Johnston-Woodward‚ both of Oelwein.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Johnston; and his brother, Mark Johnston.
