It Is with great sadness, we announce Geraldine ‘Gigi’ Avino has passed away at the age of 60 years young at Mercy One hospital on July 17, 2026. She was born on September 17, 1965 in Buffalo, New York.
She was proceeded in death by her brother Philip Joseph Avino Jr. and her father Philip Joseph Avino.
She leaves behind her mother Geraldine ‘Geri’ Avino of Omaha, Nebraska; Her siblings Catherine ‘Cathy’ (Doug) Utecht of Minnesota, Gina (Brett) Bolz of South Carolina, Nancy (John) Wertz of Missouri, Suzanne (Mark) Brittain of Omaha, Nebraska, and Steven Avino of Omaha, Nebraska.
She also leaves behind her children Rosemary (Kevin) Avino of Cedar Falls Iowa, Blake (Josie) King of Houston Texas, Austin King of Cedar Falls, Maria (Jarrett) Weeter of Des Moines Iowa, Jessica (TreyShawn) Avino of Cedar Falls Iowa, Brianna Lenton of Hudson Iowa, Zoe Lenton of Hudson Iowa, and Christian Alba of Cedar Falls Iowa.
She has 7 grandchildren; Chayse Smith, Talisa Rodriguez, Elianna Bruno, Vincent Jaramillo, Ezra Avino, Jariah Weeter, and Silvanna LaBeaux. 1 great grandchild; Giovanni Brunning, and many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She was an energetic soul and was a mother figure to many. Even though she is gone she will never be forgotten.
GIGI you were always a light not only in my life but to so very many, you will be greatly missed Thank You for being a light in my life I LOVE YOU ALWAYS RIP GIGI

I met.GiGi.years back from my brother’s and use tobsee her now and then.i cgated with her in Fb now days but have not seen he.for awhile!she was sweet lady just heard of her passin.missed her life celebration! Prayers to.all of her children abd grandchildren And family.I know she lot.loved all of children and grand kid’s and her family. She was a very good soul! MAY you GiGi R.I.P 🙏and have enternal life in God’s land ! Till we meet again!God Blessto all!
