Carol A. Buttgen, age 76, of Waterloo, died on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at her home.
She was born on September 28, 1940 in Oelwein; the daughter of June Elizabeth Reed and step-father, Harvey L. DeBar.
Carol graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1959.
She married William “Bill” W. Buttgen on June 3, 1961 in Waterloo. Carol worked for several years as a clerk at W.C. Grant and McClelland’s department stores.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; two sons, Barry (Lisa) Buttgen and Brandon Buttgen, all of Waterloo.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents.
