Robert Winburn, 58, of Urbandale, died Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines of pneumonia and complications.

Rob was born May 22, 1964, in Iowa Falls, son of Dr. James R. and Alice Winburn. He was a devoted son who took care of his parents as they aged. His greatest love was his family, both immediate and extended, and the many friends, including those made through the Neurofibromatosis (NF) online community. He was also deeply devoted to his faith.

Rob served as a federal meat inspector for the USDA.

Rob was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by a sister Deborah (Craig) Sandvold of Lone Tree, CO; a brother, Bruce (Lori) Dieckman of Denver, CO; a nephew, Christopher (Crissy) Dieckman of Cedar Falls; and a niece Dr. Lynne (Matt Moul) Dieckman of Omaha, NE.
