Connie Dellah Jones

Connie D. Jones, 70 of Waterloo, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at UPH – Allen Hospital. She was born August 29, 1952, in Marion, Arkansas, daughter of Joseph H. Trent Sr. and Barbara L. Threets. She graduated from Carver High School, Memphis, TN. In 1970. Continuing her education, she received her nursing degree from LeMoyne-Owen College and her cosmetology degree from State Technical College.

She married Larves Ray Jones Sr in 1972 in Memphis, TN. He died April 10, 1986. Over the years, Connie worked several jobs as she was raising her children and most recently, she retired from Crown Group in 2013.

She was a member of the Ambassadors Church of Christ where she served as a missionary on the Missions Team, sang in the Choir. Connie volunteered at the Jesse Cosby Center delivering Meals on Wheels. Connie was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She is survived by her children: Larves (Nickole) Jones Jr of Waterloo; Marticus Jones of Waterloo; DeShund (Chanda) Jones of Washington DC; Kelvin (Ebony) Jones of Waterloo; Christropher Jones of Houston, TX; April Jones of Waterloo; Genesis (Maria) Jones of Waterloo; Francisco Jones of Cedar Falls; and Anthony (Jordan) Morgan of Joliet, IL. Fifty-one grandchildren; several great grandchildren. Her mom, Barbara L. Threets of Waterloo. Thirty-one siblings. Stephanie Crayton of Plainfield, IL. and special goddaughter, Carol Fuller of Waterloo.

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Saturday July 29, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park. (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo)

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park (4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo)
