Madonna Lee Jones

Madonna “Donna” Jones, 74, of Evansdale, Iowa, passed away on July 2, 2026, peacefully at her home under hospice care.

Born on June 1, 1952, in New Hampton, Iowa, she was the daughter of Leo and Ellen Huegel. She graduated from New Hampton High School. She worked at POS Professional Office Services in Waterloo for a number of years.

Outside of spending time with her loved ones, Donna enjoyed crafting and creating signs for her family and friends to display. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Donna was known for always giving her honest opinion to those who were brave enough to ask. She was always happy to lend a helping hand to friends and family when needed.

Donna is survived by her children, Karine Guese (Lucas) Postville, Iowa, Jordan Jones, Nevada, Iowa, Lindy Jones, Eugene, Oregon, grandchildren, Chance Schager (Tiffany), Callie Schager (Samuel Noska), and Olivia Guese, great-grandchildren Nolan and Adley Schager, siblings John Huegel (LouAnn), Charles City, Iowa, Jim Huegel (Pudge), Marshfield, Wisconsin, Mary Ellen Fitzgerald, Boscobel, Wisconsin, Bernie Huegel (Jane), Alta Vista, Iowa, Peg Brummond (Bob), New Hampton, Iowa, Ed Huegel (Irene), Riceville, Iowa, and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Huegel, Joanne Huegel, Jean Huegel, and many extended family members.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ellen Huegel, son, Eric Jones, siblings, Joe, Jerry, Dan, and Tom Huegel, and partner of many years, Donnie DeCook.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1 pm – 4 pmat St Mark’s United Methodist Church located at 610 S Evans Rd, Evansdale, Iowa. All who knew Donna are welcome to attend.

Memorials may be directed to the family. From this, a donation will be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Donna’s memory.
