Jorja Casbon, 76, of La Porte City, died Friday, September 13, 2024, at La Porte City Specialty Care.

She was born November 3, 1947, in Belle Plaine, daughter of Hans and Jerrine (Prusha) Harder. She graduated from Geneseo High School, and then earned an associate degree from Gates Business School in Waterloo.

Jorja married Donald V. Casbon on August 20, 1966, in Dysart. He preceded her in death on July 3, 2020. She worked in offices in both Waterloo and Cedar Rapids and helped Don on the farm.

She was a member of American Lutheran Church in La Porte City. Jorja enjoyed traveling with Don in his semi and winters in their home in Arizona. She was an amazing Oma (Grandmother) to Madelyn, Grace, and Grant.

Jorja is survived by her daughters, Denise (David) Schultz and Darcy (Keith) Keegan, and grandchildren: Madelyn Keegan and fiancé Jacob Vaughn, Grace (Jordan Carey) Keegan, and Grant (Emma Purdy) Keegan, all of La Porte City.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, grandson James, and brother Jerry Harder.

A private family graveside service will take place at West View Cemetery in La Porte City. Memorials may be directed to the family.
