Rhea June Neighbors

Rhea June Neighbors, 96, of Cedar Falls, formerly of Mason City, died Sunday, October 5, 2024, at NewAldaya Lifescapes and under the care of St. Croix Hospice of Cedar Falls. Rhea was born June 6, 1928, in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Hazel Straight Saltzman. She married Frank Neighbors July 30, 1950, in Des Moines. Rhea worked several years in food service at Mason City Schools. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

Rhea is survived by a son, David (Mary Sue) Drenner of Cedar Falls, and several nieces and nophews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank, a daughter Cathy J. Meyerhofer, four brothers Evan and Leslie Saltzman, Arden and Arthur Saltman in infancy, and five sisters Wilma Cox Loomis, Caryl Jeanes, Emma Morgansen, Lois Litchfield, and Rella Southard.

Graveside services for Rhea will be Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Elmwood Cemetery, 226 Elmwood Street, Waterloo.
