Larry Nichols, 70, of Marshalltown, formerly of Evansdale, died Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at the VA Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born June 7, 1953, in Waterloo, son of Lores and Arlita (Sweeley) Nichols.

Larry led a very adventurous life. He served in the United States Navy and was very focused on fitness and working out early in life. Larry married Kathy Pfremmer in Waterloo, they later divorced. He worked various construction jobs and attended UNI for three years. Everybody who knew Larry has a story to tell about him.

He is survived by his daughters: Natasha Nichols of Maryville, Mo and Miranda Ferguson of St. Louis, Mo; four grandchildren: Connor, Joel, Ava, and Liam; his sisters: Kim (Tim) Sime of Evansdale, and Lori (Charles) Roman of Bondurant; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, with visitation one hour prior to the service, also at Locke at Tower Park. Memorials may be directed to the family. Condolences may be left at www.lockefuneralservices.com
