Russell E. Stirm, 81, of Waterloo, died on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home, in Waterloo.

He was born on November 21, 1942, son of Russell H. and Normadell Roosa Stirm. He graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1960. Russell honorably served in the US Army.

Russell married Young "Lee" Heui on August 22, 1982, in Waterloo. He worked at John Deere in department 467 as inspector for 40 years until retiring in 2000. Russell enjoyed spending his time outside camping and fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.

He is survived by wife of Waterloo; sisters, Charlotte Jensen of Moline, IL, Sharon Landa of New Hampton, and Della (Art) Webbeking, of Waterloo, and sister-in-law, Young (Chae Lee) Joo of Atlanta, GA.

Russell is preceded in death his parents.

Memorial Services: 11:00 AM Monday, November 27, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo with visitation for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to the family. Military honors to take place. Locke at Tower Park, 319-233-3146, is assisting the family.
