Ronald Dean Reints

Cedar Falls- Ron D. "Rhino" Reints, 58 of Cedar Falls, died Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics. He was born June 29, 1965, in Charles City, son of Harm B. and Elsie G. (Van Heuvelen) Reints. Ron graduated from Clarksville High School and earned his Eagle Scout Award in 1983. Later, he graduated from the University of Northern Iowa earning his Bachelor of Arts degree where he participated in Club Rugby.

He married Stacey E. Kopecky on April 16, 1992, in Clark City, Nevada. Ron owned and operated the Federal Pub in Hudson. In his free time, he enjoyed watching his kids in sports, the Minnesota Vikings, and Cubs Baseball. Preparing for the gardening season, planting potatoes, and making his hot salsa was a yearly event.

Ron is survived by his wife, Stacey of Cedar Falls; his three children, Keegan, Hanna, and Reece, all of Cedar Falls; his half-brother, Harlan Reints of Charles City and half-sister, Ellen (Wendal) Liddle of New Hampton.

Preceded in death by his parents, and half-brother, Larry Reints.

A Memorial Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00pm Thursday, November 2, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park, (4140 Kimball Ave.)
