Penny Sue Sherbon

Penny Sue Sherbon, 60, of La Porte City, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home surrounded by her family.

Penny was born on January 8, 1964, in Waterloo, to Vincent and Mary Ann (McNamara) Graham. graduated from Dysart-Geneseo High School in 1982. Penny married Mark Anthony Sherbon on May 5, 1990, in Waterloo. She worked at Bonanza Restaurant in Waterloo and Casey's General Store in La Porte City. Penny was a member of Heartland Community Church-LPC, enjoyed watching her western movies, but above all being with her grandkids was everything to her.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Penny is survived by her husband, Mark Sherbon of La Porte City; sons, Jimmy (Stephanie) Graham of Winthrop, John (Jessica) Graham of La Porte City, and Mark (Lindsey) Sherbon, Jr, of Woodburn; daughter, April Lynn of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Rick (Sue) Graham of La Porte City and Mike Graham of OK; sister, Debbie (Doug) Harting of La Porte City; 12 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Service: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at Locke in La Porte City, 606 E. Main St., La Porte City, IA. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at Locke in La Porte City.

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Westview Cemetery.
