Patricia Ann (Remetch) Ann Quibell

Patricia Ann (Remetch) Quibell, 83, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Tuesday, September 12th at her son's home in Waterloo, while under the care of Cedar Valley Hospice.

Patricia was born on September 21, 1939, in Waterloo, Iowa, to her parents Charles and Charlotte (Rickard) Remetch. She attended school in Waterloo and graduated from Waterloo East High School. On July 20, 1958, Patricia married William Quibell Sr. and together the couple were blessed to raise their 4 children: Christine, Charlotte, William Jr., and Cheryl.

For many years, Patricia worked as a nurse's aide in the healthcare industry, many of those years at Friendship Village in Waterloo. In her later years, she enjoyed her trips to the casino pulling slots, and loved her time spent with her neighbors at Legacy Manor.

Patricia is survived by her children Christine (Duane) Gengler of Elk Run Heights, IA, Charlotte Quibell of Tulsa, OK, William Jr. (Nita) Quibell of Waterloo and Cheryl Quibell-Wright of Collinsville, OK; grandchildren Nicole Metcalf, David Gengler and Megan Westergreen; several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William Sr.; step-grandson Devin Boos, daughter-in-law Teresa Wright.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, September 16th from 9:00 AM to 11:00, with a time of sharing at 10:30 AM at Locke at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave., Waterloo, Iowa. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM at the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice, an organization that meant a great deal to Patricia.
