Janet L. Burrington

Janet "Jan" Burrington, 79, of Cedar Falls, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Jan was born on July 10, 1944, in Richland Center, WI, to Arnold and Lucile (Ray) Stoltz. She married Kenneth Burrington on January 31, 1959, in Waukon, IA.

Jan worked as a secretary for many schools within Waterloo but spent most of her time at Hoover and West High. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Jan cherished time with her family and enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren's events.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Veryln, Gerald, Kenneth, Donald, and James Stoltz; and grandson, Dylan Scott Burrington.

Jan is survived by her husband, Ken Burrington; sons, Kenneth (Helen) Burrington of Osage and David (Treva) Burrington of Waterloo; daughter, Jana Burrington of Waterloo; 8 grandchildren, Adrian (Mike) Warnke, Lucas (Alexis) Burrington, Zachary (Amanda) Donaghy, Jacob (Becki) Donaghy, Shelby (Brandon) Bedard, Meredith (Ben) Nichols, Laurel Burrington, and Cady Burrington; 17 great grandchildren, Mason, Karlee, Vanessa, Kelsee, Kennedy, Joe, Marshal, Kamille, Walter, Reif, Wesson, Oliver, Landry, Lily, Kit, Maeve, and Parker.

Memorial gathering will take place on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.) at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2211 Maynard Ave., Waterloo. Funeral Service on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Ascension Lutheran Church. Burial to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery-Waterloo.
