Fenton J. Forsyth, 65, of Waterloo, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2024, at his home.
He was born on December 23, 1958, in Waterloo, son of Frederick and Norma Jean (Hunter) Forsyth. He graduated from Central High School in 1977. After graduation, Fenton worked at Schoitz Hospital in Waterloo for many years, later working for Waterloo Leisure Services and Porky's Red Carpet in Waterloo.
He loved fishing, his favorite time was our family's annual vacation in Hackensack, MN. Fenton even snagged himself an award one year, "Biggest Fish Caught" on the lake that season. When he wasn't fishing, you would find him cutting firewood to heat the family home. He enjoyed being outdoors and mowing lawns (Never charging enough) and he loved woodworking. Fenton was very talkative and was known to be a jokester. He was helpful, hardworking and was very loving; he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the kids. He was always thoughtful and never missed a birthday of any of his relatives. You could always catch him with a cigar in his mouth, and a smile on his face.
Fenton is survived by his mother, Norma Jean Forsyth of Waterloo; sisters, Connie (Craig) Loffredo, Sally (Darin) Schueler, and Shelly Gartley, all of Waterloo; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father Fred and brother, Barton Forsyth.
