Sharon Sue Brown, 80, of La Porte City, died Thursday, February 22, 2024 at UnityPoint – Allen hospital. She was born in Grundy Center, daughter of LaDean (Ingersoll) and Mert Pierce. She was married to Lee Brown for over 63 years.

Her family was her passion. She lived each day as if it was her last – full of adventure thrills and love. She did everything from volunteering to winning a drag race in her "Lil" Duster at the Cedar Falls Speedway. She held numerous jobs in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area. Sharon spread love and smiles wherever she went. She also loved reading and doing puzzles.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Lee; her two sons: Andy (Lola) Brown and Dean (Taraca) Brown, both of Vinton; two brothers: Mert Pierce of Cedar Falls, and Bob (Anette) Ingersoll of Oregon; and two grandchildren: Connor Brown of Hopkinton and Zoey Brown of Vinton; as well as a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 2024, at 10:30 AM, at Locke in La Porte Funeral Home (606 E Main St).
