Helen I Dutcher

Helen I. Dutcher, 89, of Dunkerton, died Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Denver Sunset Home in Denver after a brief illness.

She was born May 9, 1934, in Waterloo, daughter of John E. and Lucille I. (Parker) Taylor. She married William "Bill" Dutcher, Jr., September 30, 1951, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua; he preceded her in death December 14, 2008.

Helen and Bill got married and moved to the farm where they worked the land until his passing.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Dunkerton.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Bob) Moeller of Waverly; two grandsons, Ryan (Becca) Moeller of Tripoli, and Randy (Shannon) Moeller of Waverly; four great-grandchildren, Ellie, Corbin, Madison, and Adaline; a sister, Mildred (Mick) Jackson of Waterloo; a beloved friend, Melanie Moeller of Sumner; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; three brothers, John Jr., Paul, and Lawrence Taylor; and two sisters, Dorothy Moore, and Ilene Taylor in infancy.

Funeral services will be 10:00am, Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at First United Methodist Church in Dunkerton with burial at Greenwood Cemetery in Cedar Falls. Visitation from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Monday, March 11, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo; also for one hour prior to services at the church.
