George Glover, 82, of Waterloo, died Wednesday, March 27, in Waterloo. He was born May 9, 1941 in Goodman, MS, the son of Hildron Glover and Rosetta Mabry.

George married Lorraine Weber on September 27, 1991 in Waterloo. He worked for John Deere in the foundry H building and Z building for 42 years, retiring in 2010.

He was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church, and the Local 838 UAW. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and scratch-off tickets.

George is survived by: his wife, Lorraine; daughters, Chantay (Larry Lindsey) Glover of Waterloo, Jayme (David Greer) Dunn of Clarksville, TN and Sandra (Dexter) Robinson of Minneapolis, MN; sons, Marvin Glover, Isaac Glover, both of Waterloo; Charles Glover, and George Glover, Jr. both of Minneapolis, MN; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brothers, Raymond Wade, Sr., Roy Wade, Elmon Brooks, R D Washington, Hildrey Glover, Larry Glover, George Willie Foster, Dwight Glover, and Alvin Foster; sisters, LeeEtta Mabry, Shirley Glover, Patricia Ann Daron, Zelma Willis, Sandra Davis, Gertrude Nelson, Ozell Farmer, Marvie Redmond, and Catherine Foster; special nephew, Brian Mabry; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

George is preceded in death by his infant daughter; parents; six brothers; and two sisters.

Services: 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Locke at Tower Park in Waterloo.

Visitation: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at Locke at Tower Park.
