Barbara K. Meinders, 92, of Evansdale, IA, formerly of Waterloo, died on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at her home.

Barbara was born on April 7, 1932 in Waterloo, IA, to Charles W. Sr. and Marion L. Daley Clos.

She graduated from East High School with the Class of 1950.

She married Richard Meinders on June 11, 1950 at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Waterloo. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2002.

She was a homemaker in her own home for several years and later was a caregiver to others.

She was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Waterloo.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Beverly Schoby of Mason City and Faith Beebe of Waterloo; sons, David (Doris) Meinders of Myersville, MD; Charles Meinders and Steven Meinders, both of Waterloo; former son in law, Scott Beebe of Toledo; former daughter in law, Cecelia Meinders of Waterloo; 5 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sister in law, Jean Clos of Evansdale; uncle, James Daley of California and several nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents; husband; son in law, Bill Schoby; granddaughter, Melissa Fluhr; great-great granddaughter, Ellen Hippen; and brother, Charles W. Clos Jr.

Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 3, at Grace Baptist Church, Waterloo with burial in Waterloo Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, October 2 at Locke on 4th, Waterloo
