Carol Ann Sverdahl

Carol Ann Sverdahl, 83, of Waterloo, died Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at Bickford Cottages in Cedar Falls. She was born December 21, 1940, in Waterloo, daughter of Claude L. and Ruby M (Squier) Pries. Carol graduated from West High School.

She married Larry Andersen, they later divorced. Then, she married Rowland K. Sverdahl on March 13, 1981. He died June 29, 2020. She worked as a teller for Peoples Bank in Waterloo for 15 years. She then worked for John Deere at the N.E. Site in the Marketing Dept. She was a member of the Ascension Lutheran Church, Quota Club, and various other organizations. Over the years, Carol always loved her dogs, her African Gray Parrot, and spending time outside feeding the squirrels.

Carol is survived by her children, Kelli (Steve) Hubert of Waterloo, Thad Andersen of Waterloo, and Eric Andersen Sverdahl of West Palm Beach, FL; her stepchildren, Billie Jo (Dave) Thomas, Debra (Michael) Bancroft, and Jeff (Laurie) Sverdahl; and four step grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rollie; and brother, Richard Pries.

Memorial Services: 11:00 AM, Monday, November 25, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., with inurnment in Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation for one hour prior to the services. Memorials may be directed to a hospice organization of your choice.
