In Loving Memory of Michele Way

Michele, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 60 years old.

Michele was a pillar of strength and love to her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Tim Way, of 35 years; her children, Morgan Way and Tyler Way; her grandson, Ian; her mother, Karen LaCrosse; and her sister, Janean (Jeff) Craig. In addition to her immediate family, Michele is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dee Way, as well as her brother and sisters-in-law, along with numerous nephews and nieces.

She is reunited in heaven with her father, Jerome LaCrosse, brother, Scott LaCrosse, and Grandparents. Though she may be physically absent, her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have shared in her life.

Throughout her life, Michele touched the hearts of many with her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be forever treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1981. She worked as a Dental assistant for 40+ years, where she recently retired in 2024.

Michele will also be remembered for her culinary talents. Her adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors were complemented by her ability to create delicious meals, enriching every camping trip and outdoor adventure. Whether exploring new trails or gathering around the campfire with her loved ones, she found joy in every moment spent in nature.

A Celebration of Michele's life will be held from 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave. Waterloo, Iowa 50701, 319-233-3146.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cedar Valley Hospice in her honor.

May Michele rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the beauty of the heavens above, forever remembered and deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
