Jeffrey James Van Schoyck passed away with his family at his side on January, 13, 2024, after a short illness. Jeff was born on February 20, 1958 to Milo and Marie (Wingert) Van Schoyck in Waterloo. It was a fortuitous encounter at Casey's Pub in 1984 when bartender Jeff met Connie (Stevens). They married on September 13, 1986, and raised two sons, Brett and Matthew.

Jeff loved spending time with family and friends. Family time included UNI tailgating, St. Louis Cardinals baseball, March Madness in St. Louis, and many trips to Lake Cornelia. Jeff played in a pool league for many years, and he enjoyed a good bourbon. Jeff was employed by John Deere Waterloo Works since 2009, and was a member of UAW Local 838.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Milo, and a brother, Craig. He is survived by his wife, Connie; sons, Brett (Jordan) and Matthew (MaKayla); mother, Marie, and stepfather, Ted Abkes; and sister, Linda (Al), all of Cedar Falls. Loving family members include his father and mother-in-law, Shirley and Yvonne Stevens; brothers-in-law, Rick, Russ (Kathie), and Larry (Shannon) Stevens; sister-in-law, Nancy (Joe Lupetin), and niece, Amanda (David) and their sons, Noah and Max. Jeff will be missed by family, many close friends, co-workers and a couple of four legged companions, Oakley & Quinn.

Memorial Visitation: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm February 3, 2024 at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Avenue, Waterloo. Memorials may be directed to the family.
