Barbara J. Dodge, (AGE), of Waterloo, passed away on (DATE) at Place.

Barb was born on March 7, 1940, in Waterloo, to Ellis R. and Wanda J. (Cagley) Knapp. She graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1958 and went on to attend University of Northern Iowa, earning her bachelor's degree in 1962 and master's degree in 1973, in business and education. Barbara married Larry E. Dodge on August 4, 1962; he preceded her in death on May 3, 2025.

A dedicated educator, Barb spent her career working with in the Waterloo Community School District teaching Business Education and Multi-Occupation Specialties. She also worked as a Co-Op Coordinator at (PLACE). Barb enjoyed being a pen pal to local 3rd grade students. She was a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church-Waterloo, where she sang int he choir for over 60 years.

Barb and Larry enjoyed camping with their children as they were growing up, taking road trips with their fifth wheel trailer, adventuring across all 50 states, 6 Canadian Providences, and enjoyed their travels to foreign countries on cruises.

She is also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry D. Knapp.

Barb is survived by survived by her son, Steve (Brenda) Dodge of Iowa City; daughter, Julie Anderson of Waterloo; 6 grandchildren, Dillion (Kelsi) Anderson, Hayley Dodge, Alexia Anderson, Christian Anderson, Matthew, and Erica Dodge; and 2 great-grandchildren, Kobe, and Presley Anderson.

Visitation: Family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on (DATE) at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave, Waterloo.

Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. on (DATE), at First United Methodist Church, 614 Randolph St., Waterloo. Burial to follow at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
