Anna “June” Daringer, 102, of Waterloo, and formerly of Hudson passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026, at NewAldaya Lifescapes, in Cedar Falls.

She was born June 15, 1924, in Orange Township, daughter of Jay W. and Florence N. Seibert Schrock. June graduated from Orange Township School in 1942 and attended Dickinson Business School in Waterloo for one year.

June married George H. Daringer on September 11, 1943, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1991.

She worked as the Black Hawk County Clerk of Court for 23 years. She retired in 1986.

June was a member of South Waterloo Church of the Brethren. She volunteered at both Schoitz and Covenant Hospitals. She was a member of the Cedar Valley Hospice Social Concerns Group where she enjoyed playing cards and eating lunch. She especially loved to care of her great-grandchildren.

June is survived by her children, Joseph Paul Daringer of Iowa City, William Daringer of Waterloo, and Judy (Dennis) Sadler of Hudson, five grandchildren, Jeff (Carey) Sadler, Jerod (Ferren) Sadler, Neal (Nichole) Daringer, Alison (Jon) Conkling, and Rachel (John) Hein; 17 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, George Daringer.

Memorial Service: 10:30 am, Thursday, September 17, 2026, at South Waterloo Church of the Brethren, 6227 Kimball Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701, with memorial visitation for one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice or South Waterloo Church of the Brethren.
