Georgia Ann Butterfield

Georgia Ann Butterfield, 85, of Waterloo passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Wellsprings-Friendship Village.

Jorjan was born on February 9, 1939, in Algona, IA, to Clifford George and Florence Wilda (Picht) Butterfield. Jorjan graduated from Algona High School in 1957 and then moved to Greenville, SC, where she earned her B.S. degree from Bob Jones University in 1960 in Elementary Principalship. She then went on to earn her master's degree from UNI in 1969 in Administration Supervision. Jorjan spent her career as an educator working for Walnut Ridge Academy for 33 years, retiring in 2003. She was a longtime member of Walnut Ridge Baptist Church and loved to make quilts.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Jorjan is survived by her sister, Mary Jane (David) Willoughby of Hickory, NC; nephews, James (Rebecca) Willoughby of Peyton, CO, and Jon (Katheryne) Willoughby of Frederick, MD; and many great nieces and nephews.

A private burial took place at Garden of Memories Cemetery-Waterloo.
