Mike Frederick Kruse

Mike Kruse, 57, of Dunkerton, died Thursday, July 28, 2022, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital. He was born May 18, 1965, in Allison, son of Herman and Faith (Tjebkes) Kruse. He graduated from Waverly-Shell Rock High School in 1983.

Mike married Becky Day on July 5, 1986, in Waterloo. Together they raised two daughters, Alyson and Kymberly. Mike owned and operated his own semi-truck, which he took great pride in. He also liked cars, dogs, snowmobiling, and the food at Texas Roadhouse. Mike really loved the show Supernatural, and all things supernatural, but not nearly as much as he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Kruse of Dunkerton; his daughters: Alyson (Dan) Lentzkow of Waterloo, and Kymberly (Devin) Kuenstling of Jesup; his grandchildren: Sam and Annie Lentzkow, and Maverick, Scarlett, and Gunnar Kuenstling; sisters: Rae Jean (Rick) Smith, and Kathy (Roger) Lund; brothers: Dale Kruse, and Darren Kruse; father and mother-in-law, Bill (Shirley) Day; sister-in law Tracy Day; niece, Jennifer (Jeff) Lynott, and their daughter Emma; and nephew Austin Massina

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother-in law, Jim Day
