Robert “Bob” Louis Sieglaff, 102, of Waterloo died Friday, May 2, 2025, at Friendship Wellspring Living. He was born on September 16, 1922, in Waterloo, son to George Louis and Elise Ann (Eppling) Sieglaff. He graduated from West High School in 1940.
Bob married Agnes Wilma Bleeker on March 16, 1958, in Ackley, Iowa. She died August 17, 2000. Together they farmed in Black Hawk Co. and Bob retired in 1986.
He was a member of the Black Hawk Co. Planning and Zoning Commission for 19 years and chair for 13 years as well as representative at WI and IL conferences. He was past president of the Black Hawk Farm Bureau, past chair of Black Hawk Co. Extension Council, a member of Waterloo Kiwanis Club and a 4-H leader for 20 years.
He was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where he had been congregational chair, building chair, and a deacon.
Bob is survived by his nieces and nephew: Angela (Titof) Aquice of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Steve) Cooney of Liberty, MO., Luanne (Paul) Eckhoff of Linn Creek, MO, and Jeff (Teresa) Sieglaff of Des Moines. Several great nieces and nephews: Joshua Sieglaff, Roxann Zuniga, Lisa Ensign, Brent Eckhoff, Scott Boehmer, Jill Stuberud, Wesley Aquice, Gretchen Aquice, and Allison (Danny) Fritz. Great great nieces and nephews: Gage, Eli, Cecelia, Jasmine, Tristan, Adeline, Jeremiah, Walter, Tobias, Esther, Kloey, Hailey, Zach, Noah, Alexander and Teresa.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Agnes, two brothers, George and Cecil Sieglaff.
Funeral Services will be 10:30am Thursday, May 8, 2025, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Cedar Falls with a burial in the Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00pm on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, (4140 Kimball, Waterloo)
Memorials may be directed to the Immanuel Lutheran Church or Valley Lutheran High School.
