Rebecca “Becky” Gramlich, 66, of Waterloo, went home to God on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at MercyOne Waterloo Medical Center. She was born October 6, 1958, in Waterloo, daughter of Alton and Patricia (Clark) Spooner. She attended West High School.

Becky married Harry Gramlich in 1976 at The Salvation Army Citadel in Waterloo, she was the love of his life. They were members of Evansdale Hope Church of the Nazarene.

Family was the most important thing to Becky. She was extremely close to her little sister Rhonda, who would tag along from the beginning of her relationship with Harry and was always welcome. Becky was everyone’s safe place, person to talk to, and protector.

She also enjoyed BINGO, and the casinos with her mom, playing cards and listening to a wide range of music. She was a gifted cook who could make anything taste good. She took her grandkids on many road trips and enjoyed vacationing, especially in Arizona.

Becky is survived by her mother, Patricia Spooner, her husband of almost 50 years, Harry of Waterloo, three sons: Michael (Ashley) of Cedar Falls, and their children Jayce, and Saphire Jane; Joseph Gramlich of Waterloo, and his children Austin, Brayden, Lanie, Josie and Avery; and Joshua (Dawn) Gramlich of Waterloo, and their children Mikhayla, Alexa, and Elijah; her siblings Ricky Spooner, Rita Spooner, Robin Sanderson, and Rhonda McFarland; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Alton Spooner, and her brother Randy Spooner.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 14, 2025, at Locke at Tower Park, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to the family.
