Ronald Dale Jordan

Ronald D. Jordan, 81, of Waterloo, passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Unity Point-Allen Hospital.

Ron was born on November 8, 1943, in Cedar Falls, to Robert Dale and Wilma LaVone Lenze. He graduated from Waterloo East High in 1962. Ron married Rose Kearns on August 23, 1964 at Open Bible Church in Waterloo. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserves.

Ron worked for Titus Manufacturing as a machinist for many years. He then went on to spend his career working for John Deere as a painter, retiring in 2009 after 30 years. An avid car enthusiast who loved his Mustang, he and Rose were members of the Black Hawk Co. Street Machines. Ron was a member of Heartland Community Church in La Porte City where he sang in the choir. He and Rose loved to travel and visit their family.

He is preceded in death by his parents and son, James P. Jordan.

Ron is survived by his wife, Rose Jordan of Waterloo; sons, Jerry Jordan of LA, Randy (Melissa) Jordan of Waterloo and Rodney (Cheryl) Jordan of Des Moines; sister, Chris (Pat) Tanner of Cedar Falls; 6 grand children, Dustin Flippo, Ross Jordan, Devin Jordan, Nicole Jordan, Kris Lawrence, Mitchell Jordan; 4 great-grandchildren, Veah, Noah, Nolan, and Alana.

Visitation and Funeral Service: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Heartland Community Church, 705 Bishop Ave, La Porte City, IA. Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m.

Burial to be held at a later date at Brandon Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Jordan Family as a memorial in Ron’s honor will be established at a later date.
