Nancy Carol Lawless, 81, of Independence, died on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at her home. She was born on August 1, 1943 in Waterloo, the daughter of Archie and Olive (Stephenson) White. Nancy graduated from Waterloo West High School in 1962.

Nancy married Peter J. "Jim" Lawless November 22, 1963 in Waterloo, he preceded her in death December 30, 2020.

She was a member of Jesup Bible Fellowship. Nancy enjoyed sewing, watching Walker, Texas Ranger, and loved spending time with her family.

Nancy is survived by: two sons, Russell (Pam) Lawless of Waterloo, and Dan (Ann) Lawless, Independence; eight grandchildren, Amber (Brock) Jacquith of Cedar Falls, Bradley (Renee) Lawless of Jesup, Allyson (Alex) Covington of Dyersville, Tyler (Jessica) Hare of Waterloo, Melyssa Albert of Independence, Mark (Madison) Lawless of Quasqueton, Myrissa Lawless, and Kassandra Lawless both of Waterloo; 14 great-grandchildren, Dallas, Carter, Victoria, Brody, Isabella, Korbin, Gracie, Addie Mae, Easton, Jaxon, Autumn, Bristol, Grayson, and Collins; brother, Roger White of Eugene, OR; sister-in-law, Linda Hickman of Evansdale; brother-in-law, Jeff (Pam) Lawless of Waterloo; and brother-in-law, Skeets (Mary) Lawless of Cumming, GA.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

Services: 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Jesup Bible Fellowship Church in Jesup.

Visitation: 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Jesup Bible Fellowship Church in Jesup.

Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo.
