Carli Jo Teisinger, 24, of Dunkerton, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Unity Point-Allen Hospital.

Carli was born on April 20, 2000, in Waterloo to Lance and Penny (Etnier)Teisinger. She graduated from Dunkerton High School in 2018 where she was a member of the National Honor Society, and played volleyball, basketball, track, and softball. After graduation from Dunkerton High School, she attended Hawkeye Community College then decided to pursue a career in massage therapy. In 2021, Carli earned her degree from Carlson College of Massage Therapy and obtained licensure in massage therapy. Carli started her career as a Certified Licensed Massage Therapist at Iowa Falls Chiropractic Clinic then worked at MYO before she moved to Florida. While living in Florida, she continued her career in massage therapy at The Spa at Venetian Bay along with working with Dahlia Surf school instructing surf lessons. In May 2024, Carli moved to Anamosa, Iowa, to be an instructor at Carlson College of Massage Therapy along with being a traveling massage therapist in the surrounding areas. She was currently taking an online Get Wild Yoga class to become yoga certified. Carli's dream was to own her own business to inspire individuals to find their own growth, their identity, their voice, and a healthy mindset. She wanted to add massage therapy, yoga, and energy healing into the mix. She wanted to lead others to step into their light through meditation, yoga, massage therapy, nature, surfing, music, play and rest. Carli wanted to help others step out of their darkness and into their light.

An adventurer at heart, Carli embraced life with enthusiasm, always seeking new experiences and places to explore. Her wanderlust took her to far-off destinations-Florida and Costa Rica held a special place in her heart Carli was a beacon of light, radiating warmth and kindness to all those fortunate enough to know her. Carli loved to spend time with her friends and family, two dogs, hiking and walking on nature trails, reading, listening to music, working out and playing her keyboard.
