Evelyn Ann Sisk

Evelyn Ann Sisk, 81, of Waterloo, died Monday, May 6, 2024, at UnityPoint Health – Allen Hospital in Waterloo.

She was born January 3, 1943, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, the daughter of George P. and Willie Sue (Ferguson) Sisk. She married Jonnie Edward Sanders February 7, 2016, in Waterloo; he preceded her in death October 12, 2020.

Evelyn was a dietary aide for McKinley Court senior living communities in Decatur, Illinois, for over 20 years prior to her retirement.

She was a member of Shilliam Church of God in Christ. She liked to cook and spend time with her friends and family.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Jamie DePriest of Waterloo; a step-son, Chris Bradford of Waterloo; four step-daughters, Luvoria Duckepp, Annie Sanders, Dalynda Sanders, and Raelynn Bradford, all of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Nikki and Jasmine Lay; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; a sister, Ruthie Mae O'Neal; and two brothers, Joe and Floyd Sisk.

Funeral services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Shilliam Church of God in Christ in Waterloo. Visitation for one hour prior to services at the church.
