Joseph Andre Quail

Joseph “Joe” Andrè Quail, 19, of Waterloo, died on January 15, 2024, at his residence. Joseph Andrè was born December 12, 2004, in Waterloo, to Robert and Heather (Durnin) Quail.

He worked alongside his brother, Dalton, doing remodeling work. Joe’s love for entertaining with his magic tricks, humor, kindness, and loyalty will remain close in his family and friend’s hearts. He found great joy in being outdoors enjoying nature, wildlife, and butterflies, just like his mom. Always dressed to the nines and collecting sneakers, Joe enjoyed playing video games and Anime. While his life was taken far too soon, we are reminded to not compare life in the years that were lived, but in how many memories were made–Joe made many. Every person that Joe met had more laughter and joy in their lives due to him as he was accepting of everybody but wasn’t afraid to tell you how he felt. Joe never met a stranger, never left anyone behind, and was always willing to help a friend in need.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Heather Sue Quail; maternal grandfather, Duane Grandon; maternal great-grandmother, Betty Eastman; and paternal great-grandmother, Betty Makowsky.

Joseph is survived by his father, Robert “Rob” Quail, Jr.; siblings, Melissa Vera, Dalton (Ashlyn) Snyder, Jack Quail; niece and nephew, Aurora, and Dewey Snyder; paternal grandparents, Jack, and Patricia Quail; maternal grandmother, Tammy Durnin; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Locke at Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo. Funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at Locke at Tower Park. Inurnment at Garden of Memories to take place at a later date.
