Timothy Frank Hippen, 64, lifelong resident of Waterloo, passed away on April 15, 2024, surrounded by his family under Cedar Valley Hospice Care. Tim was born on July 13, 1959, to Adolph F. and LaVae V. (Staley) Hippen.
Tim graduated from East High School in 1978 and attended Hagerman Baptist Church. Throughout his life Tim worked at St. Francis Hospital and Covenant Medical Center for 16 years, then went on to work for Holiday Inn and Ravenwood Nursing Home; and prior to retirement, worked for Omega Cabinetry for 10 years. Tim enjoyed wood working, arts, and crafts, and listening to the Grand Ole Opry music.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Ronnie Dinzy, and Michael Hippen.
Tim is survived by his siblings, Colleen Gates, Charlene (Marvin) Surly, Carlene Hippen,
Teresa (Rodney) Siebrands all of Waterloo, Peggy Clowser of Gillette, WY, and Paul (Cresent) Hippen of Mason City; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19, 2024, at Hagerman Baptist Church, 1105 Knoll Ave, Waterloo, IA 50701, with a visitation to take place one hour prior. Burial will take place following at Garden of Memories Cemetery-Waterloo.
